Privacy Policy

How Terramar Software handles your data — or more accurately, how we don't.

Overview

Terramar Software LLC ("Terramar," "we," "us," or "our") builds local-first applications for macOS. This privacy policy applies to all Terramar products, including Filo.

Our products are designed to operate entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data. We have no servers that receive information from our applications, no analytics frameworks, and no tracking of any kind.

Data Collection

Terramar applications do not collect any data. Specifically:

  • We do not collect personal information
  • We do not collect usage data or analytics
  • We do not use tracking technologies, cookies, or device fingerprinting
  • We do not collect crash reports or diagnostics
  • We do not access your files beyond what you explicitly open in the application

Local Storage

Our applications store a small amount of preference data locally on your device using macOS UserDefaults. This includes settings such as your chosen theme, window size, and recently opened files. This data never leaves your device and is fully under your control.

Network Access

Terramar applications do not make network requests. They function entirely offline. No data is sent to Terramar or any third party during normal use of our applications.

Third-Party Services

Our applications do not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share data with any third parties because there is no data to share.

If you purchase our applications through the Mac App Store, Apple may collect information related to that transaction in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive personally identifiable information from Apple about your purchase.

Children's Privacy

Because we do not collect any data from any user, our applications do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. There is no data collection mechanism in our applications for users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version at this URL with an updated effective date. Because our applications do not collect data, we do not have a mechanism to notify users directly of policy changes.
